Quick answer

There is no coworking space in Salou that we could verify. The town plans a public coworking in its future Eix Cívic civic zone, but those buildings come after an urbanisation planned for 2029, so do not count on it soon. In town, your only option is the municipal library on Carrer Ponent, with Wi-Fi and study rooms, but it closes on Friday and weekend afternoons. For a real desk, go to Cambrils, approx. 7 km west. Open To Work is listed on workin.space at €20 a day or €150 a month (excl. tax) and opens weekends; confirm the address first. The town hall’s Torre del Llimó has four desks at €15 a day, Monday to Thursday, but that price comes from a 2024 fee sheet and you must apply in advance. If you are flying in, Reus Airport is the closest.

This page is for remote workers spending a holiday or a longer stay in Salou who need somewhere quieter than the apartment to work.

We checked every coworking listing we could find for Salou and found nothing open: the one Salou entry on a directory says ‘opening soon’ and dates from 2014. So we verified the library in town and the two coworking spaces in neighbouring Cambrils, and we say where a price comes from a third-party listing or an old fee sheet. Distances are our own approximate road estimates.

Salou has no coworking space, so these two spaces in Cambrils, the next town west along the coast, are the realistic options. The distance is our own approximate road estimate, not a published figure.

Open To Work Cambrils

A private coworking in Cambrils with a kitchen, a relaxation area and meeting rooms; children are allowed. Prices are listed on workin.space (€20 a day, €150 a month, excl. tax), while Coworking Spain lists a flexible desk at €25 a day + VAT, so confirm the rate. We found no official website, and listings give two different addresses, so call before you go. [1]

  • Address: Carrer de Foix 32, 43850 Cambrils (other listings give Avinguda del Baix Camp 1; confirm before visiting)
  • Distance: In Cambrils, approx. 7 km / 12 min by car west of Salou centre (our road estimate)
  • Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30-21:00, Sat-Sun 9:00-18:00, 24/7 for members (per workin.space; another listing shows Mon-Fri 8:30-18:30)

Torre del Llimó: municipal coworking (Cambrils Emprèn)

Cambrils town hall’s own coworking: just four individual stations (desk, swivel chair, locker with key) on the second floor of a tower in the old town, with 100 Mbps internet and access to Cambrils Emprèn advice and workshops. The day and week prices come from a fee sheet that says it applies to 2024; we found no 2026 rates. You must apply and be accepted by the town hall and pay in advance, so it is not a walk-in option. [4]

  • Address: Carrer Rovira 1 (corner Carrer de les Creus 37), 43850 Cambrils

How to set up a working week in Salou

  1. Call Open To Work before your first day. Listings give two addresses (Carrer de Foix 32 and Avinguda del Baix Camp 1) and different day prices (€20 on workin.space, €25 + VAT on Coworking Spain), and we found no official website. Confirm all three before you drive.
  2. Use the library for short morning sessions. Salou’s library on Carrer Ponent has Wi-Fi and individual study rooms. In summer (mid-June to mid-September) it opens weekday mornings 9:30-13:30 and Monday to Thursday afternoons 16:00-20:00.
  3. Apply early if you want the municipal desk. Torre del Llimó in Cambrils has only four coworking stations, and use needs an application accepted by the town hall and payment in advance. Contact Cambrils Emprèn on 977 794 679 or empren@cambrils.org for the current rates.
  4. Book Torre del Llimó by the week. Its 2024 fee sheet gives €15 a day (Monday to Thursday, max 8 hours) or €45 a week (max 39 hours), so the weekly rate suits a stay of a few working days.
  5. Keep Friday afternoons and weekends for Open To Work. Both the library and Torre del Llimó close on Friday afternoons. Open To Work’s workin.space listing shows weekend hours (9:00-18:00), though another listing shows weekdays only, so check.

How to choose where to work in Salou

You want to stay in Salou and work a few hours

The municipal library is the only verified option in town: Wi-Fi, group work rooms and individual study rooms, free of any published charge. It is not built for calls, and it is closed on Friday and weekend afternoons.

You want the cheapest real desk

Torre del Llimó, Cambrils town hall’s coworking in the old town, had the lowest published price: €15 a day or €45 a week in 2024, with 100 Mbps internet. With four desks and an application process, it suits a planned week, not a last-minute day.

You need weekends or long hours

Open To Work in Cambrils is listed with weekday hours to 21:00, weekend opening and 24/7 access for members, plus a kitchen and meeting rooms. Prices and hours differ between listings, so confirm by phone.

You want more choice

Tarragona has more listings, but we found none with dated 2025-2026 evidence, so they are not on this page. For other options on the coast, see our Spain coworking guides.

Working remotely from Salou: practical notes

Train at a station platform in Spain
Trains no longer stop in central Salou; the station is now at PortAventura. Photo: Explorando la provincia de Cádiz / Pexels
  • Salou has no public coworking yet: the mayor lists one among the priorities for the future Eix Cívic civic zone, with a new library, to be built after the Eix Cívic urbanisation planned for 2029. [5]
  • Salou's library switches to a summer timetable from mid-June to mid-September (mornings Monday to Friday, afternoons Monday to Thursday). [3]
  • Reus Airport is the closest airport; a taxi from the airport to Salou costs about €34/35 (from Barcelona-El Prat, about €200). Bus line 50 links the airport with central Reus and its Renfe station for €3.70. [6]
  • Salou's old central railway station closed on 13 January 2020 when the new Mediterranean Corridor line bypassing the town opened; trains now stop at PortAventura station on Avinguda Joan Fuster. [7]
  • Non-EU remote workers can apply for Spain's international telework visa, valid for up to one year, if they are qualified professionals (a degree or at least three years' experience) working for companies outside Spain; it is requested at the consulate for the applicant's place of residence. [8]

What we could not verify

We found no coworking operating in Salou. ‘Travel Net Coworking Salou’ on coworkingspain.es is marked ‘opening soon’ and refers to activity from 2014, so we left it out, and we found no Salou hotel advertising a coworking or workation space. Torre del Llimó’s prices come from a fee sheet that says it applies to 2024; the town hall sets prices each year and we could not find the 2026 rates. Open To Work has no official website, and its address, prices and hours differ between workin.space and Coworking Spain. Tarragona spaces (Avant Coworking, Tarragona Platja Coworking, Cowork Tarraco, Espai Kowo) appear only on aggregator listings with no dated 2025-2026 evidence, and we could not verify ReusWorkspace or Espai Factoria in Reus. The Cambrils distances are our own road estimates.
