Quick answer
If you need a coworking space in Kathmandu, we could verify four that are operating in 2026, and three of them belong to one operator, CreatrixSpace. Its day pass costs NPR 800 (VAT included), works at all three of its buildings in Dhobighat, Jhamsikhel and Kupondole, and your first day is free. A Week Pass is NPR 3,000. The fourth, rem.work HQ in Kamalpokhari, is the only one on the Kathmandu side of the city and advertises backup power, but publishes no prices. The honest caveats: the CreatrixSpace buildings are all in Lalitpur, many other spaces you will see listed online could not be confirmed as open, and short local power cuts still happen, so ask about backup power before a day of calls.
This guide is for remote workers and visitors who need a reliable desk in the Kathmandu Valley, whether for a day between treks or for a few months. In practice, most coworking sits in Lalitpur (Patan), just south of Kathmandu, so we cover both.
We checked every space on its own website and recorded prices exactly as published, in Nepalese rupees. Most Kathmandu operators keep their information on Facebook or Instagram rather than on a website, so we left out every space we could not show to be operating in 2025-2026. That is why this list is short.

Your first day pass is free, after that a day is NPR 800 and a week NPR 3,000, VAT included. A Dedicated Desk at NPR 8,000/month adds 24/7 access, mail handling and 8 hours of meeting room, and a virtual office with a registered business address is NPR 6,000/month. [1]

A loft in Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur’s café and expat district, with a 40-seat rooftop terrace (hired out for weekend events) and a café on the ground floor. It takes the same NPR 800 CreatrixSpace day pass as the other two buildings, so you can switch between them. [1]

Kausimaa Co-working (CreatrixSpace)
CreatrixSpace’s green terrace workspace in Kupondole, with a 24-seat terrace that is also hired out for weekend events. Coworker.com describes it as quiet, with a small library; tea and coffee are free and printing costs a small fee. It was also named in a March 2026 Roampads coworking guide. [1]

The only verified space in Kathmandu itself rather than Lalitpur, in Kamalpokhari. How to set up a working week in Kathmandu
- Use your free first day at CreatrixSpace. CreatrixSpace gives you the first day pass free. Try the Dhobighat Hub, the Jhamsikhel Loft or Kausimaa in Kupondole and pick the building that suits you.
- Buy a Week Pass if you stay. After the free day, a day is NPR 800 and a Week Pass NPR 3,000, both VAT included and valid at all three buildings.
- Ask for directions in advance. None of the CreatrixSpace buildings or rem.work publishes a street number, so message the space for a map pin before your first visit.
- Plan calls around power and connectivity. Short local power cuts still happen (the NEA announced a one-hour cut in Patan and nearby areas on 31 July 2026). rem.work advertises an uninterrupted power supply; ask CreatrixSpace about backup before a day of calls, and keep a second messaging app ready.
- Switch to a Dedicated Desk for longer stays. At the Dhobighat Hub a Dedicated Desk is NPR 8,000/month with 24/7 access, mail handling and 8 hours of meeting room.
How to choose where to work in Kathmandu
Cheapest, with a free trial: CreatrixSpace
The first day pass is free, then NPR 800 a day or NPR 3,000 a week, VAT included. One pass covers three buildings, so you can work in Jhamsikhel one day and Kupondole the next.
A rooftop or a terrace: Jhamsikhel Loft or Kausimaa
The Jhamsikhel Loft has a 40-seat rooftop terrace and a café downstairs; Kausimaa in Kupondole has a 24-seat green terrace and a small library. Both are hired out for events at weekends, so check before a Saturday visit.
Power backup and air conditioning: rem.work HQ
rem.work in Kamalpokhari advertises an uninterrupted power supply during outages and air conditioning, with hot desks, private desks and parking. It is also the only verified space in Kathmandu proper rather than Lalitpur; prices are on request.
Staying in Thamel?
Regus lists a centre at Chhaya Centre in Thamel, but another listing shows an opening date in 2027, so we could not confirm it. See our Thamel coworking guide for the options closest to the tourist district.
Working remotely from Kathmandu: practical notes
- Scheduled nationwide load-shedding is no longer routine, but short local power cuts still happen. On 31 July 2026 the Nepal Electricity Authority announced a one-hour cut (16:30-17:30) in Syuchatar, Patan, Teku and K-3 after a fault on the Syuchatar-Matatirtha 132 kV line. For important calls, choose a space with backup power. [3]
- In September 2025 Nepal blocked 26 social platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube and X, and lifted the block after deadly protests. Keep an alternative way to reach clients and colleagues. [4]
- According to a secondary travel source (the official immigration site would not load), tourist visas on arrival cost USD 30 for 15 days, USD 50 for 30 days and USD 125 for 90 days; an online form is filled in before arrival and extensions are started online inside Nepal. Check the current fees before you travel. [5]
What we could not verify
We could verify only four spaces, and three belong to CreatrixSpace. No street numbers are published for any of them. rem.work publishes no prices or hours; a figure of Rs 500 a day in some blogs could not be confirmed. We left out Regus Chhaya Centre in Thamel (workin.space shows an opening date of 1 June 2027), Regus / Spaces Jhamsikhel (no address found; search snippets show NPR 3,500 a day), Nepal Communitere (its website no longer works), The 100 (sources disagree on its location), Work Around in Kalopul (only a 2019 article), and Kalash Co-Working Hub, Haushala, Hub108, Vantage Coworking and rem.work at Fairfield by Marriott Thamel, which appear only in undated aggregator listings. The visa fees come from a secondary source because the official immigration site would not load.

Many other names appear on directories, but we could not find current evidence that they are open, so we left them out. Lalitpur (Patan) sits just south of Kathmandu, and Dhobighat is on the border between the two.
How much is a coworking day pass in Kathmandu?
At CreatrixSpace, a hot-desk day pass is NPR 800 and a Week Pass NPR 3,000, both including 13% VAT, and the first day pass is free. The pass works at all three CreatrixSpace buildings. rem.work HQ does not publish prices. Some blogs quote Rs 500 a day at rem.work and NPR 3,500 a day at Regus Jhamsikhel, but we could not verify either figure.

Since most Kathmandu coworking spaces post their news on Facebook and Instagram, and many clients use WhatsApp, keep a second messaging tool ready in case access changes again.
